I took the APAH test this may and since i only took one AP, my parents feel it's not worth it to pay $8.
I was just wondering generally what people got and if you felt the test was hard/surprised with your score
also if you have any idea on the curve, the info will be appreciated
thanks!

anyone? bump

I got a 4 and was pretty shocked. I thought my essays went VERY well (probably why I got a 4 lol), but my multiple choice were bad (minus slide based MC. I thought those were easy). Overall, I would say the curve was in the middle. I don't think that the curve was bad, but not good. I took the make-up, but I think the curve is about the same as the regular test date.

I thought the curve was just the opposite. I got almost all the multiple choice, but I'm pretty sure I didn't even eek out 50% on the frq, yet I still managed to get a 5.

i personally thought the longer multiple choice section was extremely hard and the essays were easy (even though i messed up one)

thanks for all the input :]

5 - I expected a 3 or 4 due to performance on the FRQ. Pwned the MC though.

Curve is really brutal every year...

I got a 3!

-_-

I did terribly on the MC... FRQ essays were easy.

I got a 5! I was really surprised because I thought I did pretty horribly on the FRQ. MC was actually difficult for me too, and afterwards when I reviewed my textbook I realized I had missed a lot. But I guess the curve was good.

it seems liek if you did really well on the MC but poorly on the FRQ you got a 5 : /

i got a 3 but i thought i did great on both the mc and the frq

4 - absolutely dominated the FRQ but did terribly on the MC. The MC was so unbalanced it was ridiculous...they need to be more specific about what the hell is going to be on this test

i got a 5, i thought i did alright on the multiple choice and knew i destroyed the frq. surprised i got a 5 though, never studied the whole year in the class and only read the "annotated mona lisa" for ap review.

i got a 4 and was pretty upset, i must have completely botched a couple of the frqs

i got a 5 and was fairly surprised. i remember reading the 2 sentence explanation of las meninas in my review book the morning of the test. when that question came, up i bsed so much.

i think it helped that on my FRQ about portrayal of women in art, i picked a less cited sculptor (Isamu Noguchi) because I knew a lot about him and could write well about his sculpture undine. but then i completely blanked on the other piece of art to pick, and just did nefertiti (the one thing my teacher told us NOT to do was pick pieces from egypt).

also, i am angry that the test is so disproportionately western art. my teacher took the ap label off of her class, because she wanted to follow her own curriculum and go in depth into japan, india, and china. there was a statue of parvati on the mc that asked what country it was from. (the choices: japan, china, or india) my teacher and i had a laugh about that one.

in contrast, all of the questions about renaissance, mannerism, baroque, etc. went for specifics. sorry for ranting.
