I'm just starting to take my SATs and I heard that they curve those tests. How do they do that? Do they curve based on the scores that other people have gotten?
And so does that mean if you miss a couple questions on math, reading, or writing, its still possible to get an 800?
Thanks

on average…
you can miss
3 questions on cr and get an 800
0 questions on math and get an 800
1 question on writing and get an 800

What about the PSAT? Do they curve those as well?

If you are lucky and get a “hard” math section, you can miss a question and still get 800.

is the test considered “hard” based on the graders, or the results of other test takers?
