Cutoff GPA

Hey can anyone tell me what the cutoff gpa (roughly) is for their school's top 10%? My school doesn't rank and I would like to know about where I stand in my class lol. Oh, and can you indicate if you go to a public/private and competitive/non-competitve high school?

Thanks a bunch!

And can you also write the number of people in your class?

Thanks!

This type of thing will vary widely from school to school.

Mines weighted around 4.33, so unweighted around 3.7ish
Public and competitive

Since your school doesnt rank…on your transcript your guidance counselor is likely to put your percentile on there

Oh I know but I just wanted to know a rough estimate. And yeah I’m waiting til’ school starts to ask my counselor about my excat stance so this will be good for now.

Thanks for the responses!

96/100 UW and 400 kids.

public competitive

I am top 5% in my school
I am ranked 25 out of 556

How many kids are in your school?

In my grade there’s about 250 kids and I go to a private catholic school. Idk about the competitiveness though. I mean it’s a great school and 98% go to college but there are less than a handful that go to top schools like Stanford + Ivies (I want to go to Stanford lol) each year. Most people go in state or really small, liberal arts colleges throughout the country.

Thanks for the replies!

This won’t help much but…

My high school = ~160 kids in 9-12.

My GPA = 4.0

My rank = 1/55

This thread is so old

what school do you go to

Uh, mine is high. Class of around 200 students that are super smart. Id say around 4.3, we dont know ranks yet.

seagal this thread was made nine days ago so how is it “so old”? you revived a five year old thread…

Competitive private school, class of about 330, 10% cutoff is roughly, converting to a 4.0 scale, 3.6. Neither rank nor GPA are officially given, though.
