Is anyone else going next weekend? Also, what should I pack with me? The letter I have doesn't say anything about what to pack, so I have no idea.

Thanks. :)

Pack a sleeping bag, running shoes, gym shorts, work out clothes, and a tooth brush.

When I was there, my Midshipman host and his roommates were pretty active so be prepared to play sports with them. (I played basketball and baseball with them)

A lot of people say "dress formally", but I don't think it is entirely necessary. Have a nice collared shirt when you arrive, and when you go to classes with your mid--that's pretty much all you're going to need.

Also bring a lot of questions, my Mid seemed to answer every one of my questions in a lot of detail, and always asked if I had any other questions.

Also bring a camera if you want, they'll take you (well, they did for me at least) on a tour of the Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Oceanography departments, and it's amazing the amount of equipment that have open to the Mids. You're allowed, and encouraged to take pictures of everything on the tour. I didn't bring my camera, and I really wish I did :(

I'm going! See you there GC

I'll be there. Can't wait.

trackattack2b12 -- What part of PA are you from?

I'm from the Valley Forge Area, about 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia.

See you guys there!, I'm from NE of philadelphia

My son is going. We asked CGO for an invitation and they said ok. He is on the wait list for an appt.
