Daddy needs help with a few questions?

I am 42 year old dad and just retired. I am going to continue my education to coincide with my sons elementary school hours.

A brief summary of my situation.

First off I do not need the education for a resume or for future employment.
It is just something in life I want to attain.

The pros are

1 I can give it all the dedication needed.

2 I live near Boston and all those great schools.

3 Money is no problem.

The cons are my GPA was 2.40 with about 60 credits.

I want to go day time, full time at a respectable college.

What are my chances how should I proceed.

Thanks in advance

being in boston and money being no problem, you might want to look into the harvard extension school, which is designed for returning adults, especially in the boston area. you can take any harvard classes.

if youre actually looking into going to a "normal" college, in the sense that you go to class as if you were fresh out of HS, it might be more difficult. returning adults are often welcomed, but since you have those 60 credits at 2.4 GPA, you are almost forced into a returning adult program, because you would be transferring those credits, and have been out of school for so long.

but u should definetly look into the first option: http://www.extension.harvard.edu/

Thanks,

I could go in assuming no background and a few years later after proving myself mention the former credits or forget the former all together.

The adult ed is only evening classes. I need day classes to be home for my 7 year old boy when he gets off the bus.

How strict is suffolk, tufts or BU?

How about taking two evening classes just to bring up my gpa. Then apply at one of these.
