Daily Bruin Question

Hello!

Does anyone know how hard it is to get a position writing for the Daily Bruin? Do a lot of people apply or try to get a spot? Do they require you to be a sophomore or junior before you can write, or anything like that?

I'm the Editor-In-Chief of my high school newspaper and an intern at my town's newspaper for two years. My life pretty much revolves around journalism, and I'm hoping it could stay that way at UCLA.

Thanks!

I believe your best bet would just be to go down and apply. I've got a friend (who was the Editor-In-Chief of our High School Paper) who is now a staff writter on the Daily Bruin.

How long did it take her to get the position?

Thanks... I guess I'll be dropping by that hall next time I visit!

I know she got into it as a Freshmen, however her articles have appearently started moving up in the paper now that she is finshing her sophmore year.
