This is just a random thread. Here are just some reasons I chose UM. Just curious to see what you feel good about being a wolverine.

well, let's hope not diezel. Keep in mind that the Michigan football team can be an embarrassment to the school even if we go 7-5. So the same rules don't really apply as they did in High School.

Believe me, anything's better than a team that perenially goes 2-9, wears purple, and has the nickname Canalmen. Which, by the way, is easily shortened to Analmen, which is probably more indicative of the way they play. Those pansies.

B-School, big-time college atmosphere and sports, liberal arts empahsis, hopefully good job opportunities, all the choices, people of all sorts, study abroad opportunities.... oh, I love to say that I am a "Wolverine"! ;) Wolverine sounds much better than my second and third choices... Tigers and Commodores.

I didn't even think of Princeton or Auburn. I was referring to my state's University, the Missouri Tigers. They have a good honors college, decent B-School and the cost, with scholarhips, was way, way cheaper. I assume there is only one Commodores! ;)

Samwise, although a flag of the University of Michigan was not left behind, a charter of a new University of Michigan alumni association was reportedly left behind. As such, Michigan is the only university with an Alumni Chapter on the moon! LOL

samwise, that information greatly disappoints me, but it is nice to know, as Alexandre and The Daily point out, that Michigan has an alumni chapter on the moon instead!
