I live in Belgium and there are several books which I can't buy in my own country.

So I must buy my SAT books at Amazone, which usually takes 2-3 weeks to get delivered. For my upcoming order I am going to buy Meylani's 15 realistic tests and SAT II chemistry by Barron's.

Now my question is whheter the dark blue subject test book of Collegeboard is worth buying. So I hope you to give me your opinion about this...

Thanks for replying!!

No one use the subject test book??

Definitely buy it since they are real SAT IIs from previous administrations.

No! Don't buy it. They have exactly one of each subject test. That's why there are 22 tests in the book: one from each. Seriously. Unless you're desperate, it's not even worth it. There are books for most subject tests from Barron's or Kaplan or Princeton Review and such that you can get from Amazon; these are actually worth the money, some of them. If you're going to do the SAT II Latin though, there's no book for that...even then, don't waste all that money on a book so thick only to get one practice test.

So I dont have to get it to get myself used to the format???

What I think you should do is check it out of the library, even though I bought it myself...

I dont live in the US, so my libary dont have it...
I think I just gonna buy it...

Use it as a final assessment and if you'll be taking multiple SAT IIs, it'll be worth it.

If you are taking SAT ii chemistry, DEFINITELY buy Barron's Sat ii chemistry book. I have the Collegeboard's sat ii. There's too many different types of sat ii tests in there so if you are only taking say, three exams, you will only use 1/10 of the book(or something like that).

If you're taking, for instance, the SAT II biology, go online and buy a guide like Princeton Review's SAT II Biology guide or Kaplan's or Barron's equivalent. That will get you used to the format of the test, because they all have multiple practice tests and the majority of the book is material review.

If you buy the college board book, you will get exactly One (1) SAT II biology exam. One.

If you're going to take three SAT IIs, keep in mind there are 22 practice tests in the college board SAT II book, and that you'll only be using, in essence, 3/22 of the book. And you're going to get exactly one practice test for each of the three you're planning to take. It's not going to help you get used to the format very much. Not as much as 3 different SAT II books.
