Yeah, the Joker said that Rachel was at A, Dent was at B, so of course Batman goes for Rachel at A, and it turns out Dent was there. That's why Dent ended up being the one. Remember, because the police people asked him where he was running off to, and he was like RACHELLL!!!! lol. Anyway, it was a quick thing, so I'm not surprised you missed it.

and yeah, Brown, we share favorite characters :]

What's up with the Batman being satiated with just a little tongue action from Rachel Dawes? In the animated series, Batman couldn't go five minutes without tapping some prime piece like Talia Al Ghul or Poison Ivy. This is Batman played by Christian Bale. He should be plowing through the Russian ballet team and others like a scalding knife through butter.

Haha I'm pretty sure Alfred wasn't going to give him a turn with the Russian ballet team.

easy, the movie was already 2.5 hours, if they tried to accurately portray the amount of destruction the Christian Bale Batman must do, we would all still be in the theaters.

The fact that he rolled up late to his own house party with 3 hotties in a chopper and that he takes the russian ballet on a 2 week love boat cruise should be enough to let you know how he rolls.

i thought it was filmed just like every other superhero movie... somuch that it probably won't be remembered a year from now

which is sad, because the joker was the most psychologically brilliant character since Tyler Durden in fight club. not to mention ledger's fantastic portrayal that, i hope, will not fade like the rest of the movie will

semi spoiler?

his attempt to show batman "the anarchy experiment" on the boats was disgusting. i believe that the joker was right- that people would resort to their natural state of chaos in that sort of situation. however, the scriptwriter obviously is a hermit who has no knowledge of human emotions. trying to convince us that
A: a group of convicts would be selfless and peaceful
B: people would randomly decide to tally votes in a life-or-death situation
is just disgusting

batman is also a hypocrite... he'll crash through buildings on a machine-gunning motorcycle and will throw a guy off a building to break his knee caps in an effort to stop people from (coincidentally) crashing through buildings and hurting others

my vote is on wall-e... but i'll give a standing ovation to heath ledger (two face sucked)

I was disappointed in the way Two-Face was made up after the accident...he looked like a bad rip-off of the machines at the beginning of Terminator 2.

Maggie Gyllenhaal was butt fugly and should not have been cast for the role of Rachel Dawes.

The girls he showed up to his party with though... well cast. :D

oh good so i'm not alone in thinking maggie gyllenhaal isn't exactly a hottie..

I think I had to close my eyes whenever Maggie Gyllenhaal came on screen... :/

SPOILERS*

Why would a "group of convicts be selfless and peaceful"? Did you even watch the movie? Most of them wanted to press the button. It was the one big guy, who realized what the moral and ethical implications of it would be, that threw it out the window.

And the civilians, well a lot of them wanted to blow it up, a lot of them didn't. Do you really think the average person has the guts or the conscience to press a button and kill hundreds of people, even if they are prisoners? Would you want to press the button?

exactly why no one (not even Batman/Bruce Wayne) could consider him your quintessential "hero", and why he's the "dark knight" as opposed to harvey dent who was gotham's "white knight". i'd say batman was in a way kind of like the joker: they would both make for interesting psychological case studies.

best movie ever? who knows... its the best super-hero movie ive ever seen though, and by far the best use of two villains... definitely my favorite of the year, but i havent seen WALL-E yet, which i heard was incredible as well...

it was seriously AWESOME
heath ledger... what can u say about him? just brilliant... may he RIP
i thought the movie was gonna end at a few times and it kept going and i was like "oh... really?" i guess it was a little long but i still loved it

I was just thinking, do you think Heath Ledger overdosing was a result of him playing the joker, and having to get into such a messed up character?

I really don't get all the hoopla on Walle. I thought it was crap. I mean, cute and all but really, "walle...eva." was pretty much the extent of dialogue in the whole darn movie. "Save the earth." "Robot love." Just, eww. The jokes were lame, the overweight people were pathetic, and the whole moral of the story is corny as heck. What a boring, 5 year old kid movie (IMHO). The day after I saw Walle I had to come back to the theater to see Wanted (shoot-em-up thriller, sooo much better) just to purge all of the corniness from my system.

Amazing movie. The complexity, the plot, and the acting were all superb. It was the best superhero movie I think I have ever seen. Spiderman 1 and 2 were good, Iron man was fun, and the first Batman was enjoyable. But this is far and away better. The moral struggle that went on alone elevated this far beyond a simple summer blockbuster.

Of course not, just the thought of that is ridiculous. Of course Hollywood and some of the media are going to try and play that up, but it's complete nonsense. He was an actor. People don't kill themselves after acting a role.

haha yeah anthony hopkins hasn't killed himself..yet

To anybody who thinks Heath Ledger killed himself because of his role: Do you now think that Christian Bale assaulted his mom and sister because of HIS role?

I saw the movie twice. Midnight Thursday when it opened and Sunday night at 9:30. The second time made some things stick out and helped me digest everything. I'd say Dent's transformation into Two Face (not a spoiler if you watch the first 5 minutes of the movie, hear his name, and see him flipping the coin) was way too fast, and could easily have taken another movie. Also, they changed how he hurt his face :(. I still liked how they never showed Gordon's daughter's face because they don't know who they will cast for batgirl a few movies from now. Overall, I really liked the movie, espeically since I saw it twice in less than a week. Best movie of the year? Yes. Best movie ever? We'll see ....
