Darn!! This is SOO HARD. Help please?

Okay so, basically I just need some help narrowing down the schools I'm going to apply to. This is my list so far:
Cate School-Love the location and the diversity have a vball team
Andover Academy-Love the students and my cousins when there
Peddie- Love the diversity and location and they seem to have good academics
Stevenson-Love the location. Love the buildings and they have a Vball team
Exeter-Good academics
Mercersburg Diverse, good academics, like the location
Blair Good academics
Thacher Love the location, good academics vball team

Okay, now let me tell you about myself. I am an aspiring psychologist or psychiatrist. I have all A's except one B which is in math. Math is my weakest subject. I am a volleyball player and plan on continuing to play if it is availiable. I would prefer a larger school that is very diverse. I also don't want to the school to have bone crushing academic program.

Thanks in advance

P.S. feel free to recommend any other schools.

Why are you trying to narrow down your list of schools? That seems like a good number to me…

I just say add Hotchkiss to your list :)

That’s a decent number. Glad to see Stevenson still on your list. Maybe you could explain why you want to go to each school?

Still, that’s a good number. You can now focus less on selection and admission, maybe look at essay prompts?

All those schools are hard academically. If you want “moderately hard” don’t choose any of them. Sorry.

Hey, that’s a good list.

However, I recommend putting at least one or two backup schools, just in case you don’t get accepted to those good schools. I would put in like say, Middlesex, Milton, or some other schools. According to a research, these are the top 20 best schools. I didnt make this list, some professional dude and his studies made this. So don’t go yelling at me it wasn’t correct.

Phillips Exeter Academy – NH

St. Paul’s School - NH

Phillips Andover Academy - MA

Groton School - MA

Deerfield Academy - MA

Thomas Jefferson School - MI

Concord Academy - MA

Milton Academy - MA

Middlesex School - MA

Lawrenceville School - NJ

Hotchkiss School - MA

Choate Rosemary Hall - CT

St. Andrew s School - DE

Georgetown Preparatory School - MD

Cate School - CA

Peddie School - NJ

Thacher School - CA

Indian Springs School - AL

Webb Schools - CA

The Taft School - CT

You might as well choose like 1 or 2 from those schools, as a back up.

I dont know about you, but I would DEFINITELY put Exeter and Andover. Good Academics, yet good acceptance rates.

If you are applying for financial aid, I think applying to 8 well-selected schools is fine. Even without fa, 8 is OK if you have a high number of reach schools.

If you have any questions about Blair, feel free to ask me here or send me a private message. It’s a great school! However, I guess that Cate is your #1, so I hope you get in there.

don’t they all have volleyball?
it wouldn’t make sense for only 2 of them to have vball. hmmm
i think they do I know exeter does and andover/sps

Maybe she means they outstandingly good vball team.
