The thing is, my school doesn’t seem to have a fantastic record with Dartmouth. That’s a point of concern for me.

Yeah same with me… Last year we sent one kid to Princeton and MIT but other than that, the Ivies aren’t really our strong suit. Our class of '08 had two acceptances to Dartmouth RD, but none attended. I’d be the first to go if i get in

I don’t know anyone who has ever applied to Dartmouth; I don’t think people know what it is at my school, lol.

In my school, there are roughly 10-15 applicants per year, and Dartmouth accepts about one person. In the past few years, however, the college hasn’t accepted anyone; I think it’s because the few people who did get accepted haven’t been going to Dartmouth. Hopefully applying ED will help me.

Well it’s nice to know that we’re all in the same boat regarding where what kind of school history we have

Lol @Cirroalex. I think it will help you LilBub.

There are usually 1-3 applicants per year, I think, from my school. Last year, 2 applied and neither of them got in… I’m hoping I’ll be able to change my school’s luck.

Dartmouth admissions should read this page and accept us all because we’re so interested in going

At least you don’t have as much competition… In my school, there are usually 15+ applicants to every Ivy per year. -_- Additionally, no one has ever gotten accepted to Dartmouth early here, oh joy!

Your statistics are more reassuring. The few people who apply may not get in because they aren’t at the level. In my school, because there are at least 10 applicants, it just goes to show that Dartmouth is really picky about my school’s students. Certainly not all 10 of them are inadequate. :S

barvoets, I think admissions officers sometimes do check CC lol.

Hah I don’t think anybody from my school has ever gone. I would be surprised if anybody had ever even applied… The class sizes at my school are all roughly 700, and there are only four legendary people who made it into top-tier schools in the past decade.

It’s totally my super-reach school, but whatever.

@rainbowgazer same with me… but i figured, why not test fate and shoot for ED?

I have a relatively small class size. We do do pretty well though with top tier schools. Not magnificently, but there’s usually a few that go top tier schools every year.

My class is very competitive and we usually send about 8-9 kids to Ivies every year. Last year, one got in ED and another accepted RD but not attending. I think there are like 10 to 15 people in my grade applying to every ivy

Darn. How big are your grades? Mine is about 300.

Around a 1000

Mine is about the same as you LilBub.

My class size is around 300 too. I’m definitely the only one who applied ED Dartmouth (and one of only two that did ED at all)…I wonder if this helps at all, coming from a school that’s not been represented before?

I hope so! But idk, I’ve always thought that it would hurt more than help.

Me too honestly, but I hope it helps somehow! I mean, at least I won’t be turned down based off of my own school’s competition as seems to be the situation with applicants from LilBub’s school.

is anyone else waiting on an email to come out today announcing the decision date?

Was it you who said that we would get an email? I’m kind of on the lookout but I’m not paying it to much attention.
