Grayson, do you remember what he said to you exactly? That’s so exciting if that is true. I wish I had a clue as to where I’ll be on Thursday :/

My pleasure. I hope you all get good news. We are anxiously waiting too for D this time.

I still doubt it means much.
I don’t remember the exact words but I remember thinking it was weird during the interview when he said that I’d be there next year. I think he was talking about a new life sciences building or that I would see (he was a pretty involved alumni and new much about current stuff at Dartmouth).

Laborator, cchavira: I do policy and congress! Were any of you guys at nfl nats congress in dallas or indianapolis?

When did you have this interview?

lIt was last tuesday, so it may have been too early for him to know. It’s just he kept insinuating stuff like, “I’m going to definitely recommend you and Dartmouth usually listens to me.”

but who really knows what it meant. I’m at the point where I am overanalyzing everything.

Wow, if he said that then you should be happy. I wish my interviewer was more explicit like that. I have no idea how the interview went, nor do I have any idea of what my decision will be.

I feel my interview went really well, we definitely connected and talked for more than an hour. He said that I was Dartmouth material, and I would be a great fit, so I’m crossing my fingers that he wrote a good write-up.
Do you think that the interview is more important than the admissions officers say it is?

I’m not sure. I think the interview is definitely important, but I don’t know the extent to which it affects an application. My interviewer said that the interview would only last about 30 minutes, but it lasted about 45-60 minutes. I’m not sure if that’s good though. I just want my decision already :/…

Do you guys think the decisions may come out earlier than 5?

Well, I don’t think the interviews are that important. As one interviewer for my friend said, they might have the power to get out out, but they don’t have the power to definitely get you in. Especially since not all candidates get to have an interview in the first place due to location, it would be unfair to put a lot of weight there.

I think its good that it went over! That means that you guys had a lot to talk about. The last 20 minutes of my interview, we just talked about how great Dartmouth is… I really hope that conveyed how much I would love to go.

I don’t think they’ll come out earlier than 5, though. You know how they strung us along with the notification email :P. I highly doubt they’ll release decisions early.

Yeah, doubt it will come out early. If it does though, perhaps by a few minutes.

It’ll be really awkward if we logged into our accounts a few hours earlier and found that they released the results by mistake… lol

what if they sent us the wrong letter… if we got a Congrats letter but they revoked it a few hours later and replaced it with a denial letter. I’d probably lock myself up for days

@careld I’ve been having the same idea!

That actually happened for my high school admissions. It was supposed to come out on Saturday 5 pm, but they released it at 12 am and everyone went crazy about it, especially those who didn’t get in. Turned out the results were actually real, but I went through a panic attack two times anyways ;)

@careld and @grayson

It’s a crazy thought, but I’m going to check every now and then just in case :O…

@barvoets

I would cut my legs off.

@careld Haha I thought I was the only who thought that way.

And I thought it was at 4 PM EST?

@barvoets, I’d do so too. Minimum one week.

@magentaturtle, grayson, tig2013, I’m going to keep checking my account too, just in case. Although I think Dartmouth’s admissions office is much more meticulous than my high school’s And yes, it is 4 pm EST.
