Post any info regarding Dartmouth’s waitlist here. I talked to a rep yesterday who said they’re still doing the numbers, so might still be a week before anyone gets notifies.
I talked to admissions today and they said they would be releasing decisions by the middle of this week (so in the next day or two)
Any updates on the waitlist?
They have started calling and emailing people.
@tshillz do you know if that’s it or they’ll call until thursday/friday?
I’m not sure honestly.
Has anyone heard back yet?
So is it official? I guess im not going to Dartmouth.
@grimsby my youngest brother received an offer from the waitlist three days ago. @SWeLLT wouldn’t say that. The admissions director I spoke with yesterday said that she was making calls to the students until the end of today.
Hello! I contacted an AO about the WL and this is what they said:
“Every time we make admission offers from the waiting list, we will notify the group of students who were not admitted to update them. It is important to watch your email this spring so you see these updates. The waiting list process almost always involves multiple “waves” of offers as we try to fill our class without overshooting. These update messages will ask students to confirm their continued interest in future admission opportunities, or to let us know if they no longer wish to be considered”
Don’t lose hope guys!
I just got an email from Dartmouth asking for an update…
Notifications went out to those that wished to remain on the waitlist.
Some waitlisters have been offered spots already.
The remaining are being asked for updates, since there may be some more offers being extended to those still on the waitlist over the next couple weeks, as numbers shake out.
If you already updated them after 4/1 should you update again when prompted? also we upload to the “Post Decision Correspondence” right?
I think only if you have something new to add. Good point on the post decision… you would think… right?
This is probably a dumb question- but if you’re admitted, they will send an email before they call right? Because the last thing I want to happen is to miss a phone call and lose my chance at getting in.
You would think… Yale is emailing first with a “heads up” that they will call. They are leaving the contact name and phone number. I don’t think you need to worry about that.
I almost wish Admissions worked weekends too The wait is horrible…I’m not expecting anything but that part of me just can’t give up hope [-O<
I agree… waiting is a killer. Especially when we know that they basically have gone through their first “wave”. I read a story about someone who didn’t find out until the bitter end, so until they send a rejection letter… there is hope.
just for fun- where is everyone going as of now?
