Since you’re on the waitlist that means ur SAT scores are within their acceptable ranges–or else you’d be rejected. Waitlists are used to fill niches so theyre looking for like type/location of the candidate more than your sat scores
I am an Asian from Southern Califronia and SAT score is 2200 . Waitlisted at Dartmouth, so wondering about my chances of getting in! Patiently waiting!!
Any particular reason Dartmouth is your number 1 pick?
@BellaVenezia Not Giveback obviously, but mine are the strong undergraduate teaching (this is HUGE for me), the language programs, flexibility in the biology programs, and the excellent study abroad programs.
And congratulations on getting in! I hope I’ll get a call in the next month, though the chances seem to be dimming since two waves have already gone out.
Excellent undergraduate education and very helpful alumni network especially for economics and also they have good premed track!
Thank you… I will appreciate my good fortune even more. I did read on one of the older threads that someone found out super late… later than the end of June. There’s definitely still hope.
I as well am hoping to hear from the waitlist in the near future. Dartmouth has been my number one forever and being put on the waitlist gives me a little bit of hope, but I’m not sure if I should be optimistic. If people don’t accept the waitlist by this Monday do you think they will send out some more offers?
I still haven’t heard back from them. This is really awful. International student
Has anyone heard today? Or confirmed that they are going to enroll?
@oregongrown - I have not heard today. Good luck to all on the waitlist. Keep the dream alive.
I think BellaVenezia - is the only one (posted here) that received an offer last week. BellaVenezia - are you able to disclose if you accepted your offer ?
Yes… I confirmed last night…none of the ivy threads are buzzing today… I’m thinking end of the week for more news
It’s unfortunate that they make us wait so long to find out… Hoping to hear before school ends in June.
I have removed myself from the wait list. Good luck to the rest of y’alls on the wait list and the future and whatnot.
Do we have to submit a new waiting list reply form on the Dartmouth Application Management System stating that we intend to stay on the waitlist? Or the original one we submit prior to May 1 would suffice?
You only need to submit a new reply form if you wish to change your status (i.e. remove yourself from the waitlist).
Some of us on this thread received an email on May 8, 2015, requesting an update if one wants to remain on the
waitlist. So (geoffrey1018) If you have any updates that you want to share with Dartmouth, you may submit (upload) another letter to the admissions committee of your developments since April. Assuming you sent in an update in April requesting them to keep on the waitlist.
Good luck!
Thanks @Giveback I did send in a update letter (to the office and to the dean), a principal’s rec, and probably 3 or 4 updates. I really hope I could get in. Fingers crossed!
In the meantime where have to committed to ?
It appears there is a another wave coming this week, so good luck to all!
I’ve put down the deposit at UCLA. Dartmouth’s still my first choice. But for now, go Bruins!
