Dartmouth ED Applicant Discussion 2025

Yes @acedt21 they’re due the 25th my interviewer also said that! But, the interviews are very messed up this year because of COVID and lack of alumni able to interview! It won’t hurt you. My friend didn’t get an interview last year and she was accepted so you’re good!

All my IDOC submissions uploaded a few days ago so I would check if yours came through as well.

Yes, mine were uploaded a few days ago as well. All that’s left to do is wait, I guess.

Update: just got my interview request!! Weird it came so late. Also, quick question: I submitted SAT score of 1540 to Dartmouth- do you think that score is high enough to qualify me academically? (Grade gpa unweighted is 3.93)

sorry i’m so late but I got my interview like two or three weeks ago. I don’t think everyone gets an interview I know someone who applied to Dartmouth ED in the same region as me and when I asked my interviewer they said I was the only someone they had to interview for this cycle.

also @acedt21 Dartmouth reviews applications holistically so it’s not just test scores and GPA its your peer review, your teacher recs, you essays, extracurricular and everything else together.

My daughter also applied ED to Dartmouth. Just wondering, does she need to submit quarterly grades? She doesn’t see anything on her portal asking her to do so, but I do see on Dartmouth’s website that typically they want quarterly grades by end of November (for ED applicants). Any info would be appreciated!

My school counselor got a request to submit my quarter grades. I don’t think the students can submit them since all transcripts need to be official from their high school.

My counselor just submitted mine today. Is that too late?

Do you think they are still choosing applicants from the main pool of ED applicants or do you think they have narrowed it down yet?

I have the same question… My counselor did not really recieve the request for quarterly grades, and I can not see anything related on my portal. But today I asked my counselor to sent it anyway. Hope it is not too late.

same! what are your stats (if you don’t mind me asking)

I asked about them narrowing down applicants because I was asked to have my alumni interview on December 2nd, and my interviewer asked me in the 1st which gave me little time to prepare. I was wondering if it meant anything since I feel like they would have narrowed down some of the applicants by now. And what’s the point of interviewing an applicant that they have already decided to reject. Right?

I’m not sure. Getting an interview doesn’t mean much since it’s solely based on alumni availability. Hopefully, it’s a good sign for you though!

Yea you’re probably right. It was probably so last minute because of something random like a new system because of COVID or something.

Take it as a good sign. Why not? Beats anxiety.

You right

My schools on semester and we have quarter grades but they are unofficial and we only send if asked. My GC said D never asked him for it, which he said they were probs already fine w my academics and didn’t need another data point. Is this true, or should I be worried that I was never asked to send grades?
For context I have 3.93uw big upward trend, 1540 SAT, 800 bio subj test

Hi! I got SAT1530. I study IB and my school does not really release IB predicted grades to students so I have no idea about it… I feel like I’m doing ok though. I heard rumors that if you are not requested the grades then you’re probably rej/accepted already. Anyway I think your academics are already super strong, so hopefully it’s a good sign.

How do you know if Dartmouth requested an update on your grades or not? I have a really strong GPA and stuff like that but I wasn’t able to take an ACT/SAT because they were both cancelled 5 times in a row.
