Lolol the Harvard thread is ridiculous too
People on the Columbia thread are saying that some of the counselors got a notification and withdrew recommendations and everyone’s freaking out.
Wait…the counselors get to know before the applicants!?
oh
What does that mean if they were downloaded?
Interesting, Dartmouth downloaded some of our Parent Agreements and didn’t for some of us. Wonder if it means anything.
that’s odd
@hanover2020 Did you get a likely letter?
what are the dates that yours have been downloaded?
I checked a couple of other threads and students were saying to disregard it. One person was deferred from Cornell ED and his/her parent agreement was downloaded and another student was accepted to UPenn ED and his/her agreement was not downloaded.
I think you guys are reading too much into this. As long as the ED Agreement is listed as received in your application manager you should be fine. I was reading last year’s Cornell ED thread and two very qualified candidates (pretty much likelies) had their parent’s ED form listed as submitted and both of them got it. I don’t think it makes a difference. Read this thread if you’re really worried: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1587951-knowing-your-ed-decision-even-earlier-than-the-release-date-p1.html
Parent ED agreement wasn’t downloaded but counselor was… I feel like that’s a bad sign but considering we’re all in the same boat it should be ok
@lexiii17 Same. My counselor agreement was downloaded.
I just want it to be Tuesday already! :((
Don’t turn into the Columbia thread by reading too much into that. I can already tell you that there is no correlation between downloaded parent forms and acceptance. How are you so sure it will be Tuesday? we never received an email right?
Jk I was looking at the wrong thing. Mine says downloaded, but I really doubt it means anything
Same here guys: all my recs were downloaded but my parent ed agreement say submitted. hopefully that we’re way overthinking this (my dartmouth application portal has a check by the ed agreement)
Why would Columbia’s counselor recs be withdrawn? Accepted or denied, that doesnt make sense.
Even if there is no correlation, I still wonder the reason why some parent agreements are downloaded and some aren’t.
@Emmett789 are you sure you’re looking at the parent ed agreement, not the counselor ed agreement?
