@Blue - When I mean I screwed math, I mean I won’t be getting the 100 that I so desperately wanted!!
I’ve never touched a book before Eng. lang till date!! Haha!!
Literature though requires some mugging up to do!!

My school has a NAMESAKE counselor too!! I basically taught her how to do stuff!!
And for teacher recs, I took a printout of a sample copy, went to the teachers & showed them what they had to do. Then chased them for rec letters, which I had to go get attested from the office & Principal. After which I scanned them & gave it back to the teachers. After all this work, I pressed the “invite” button on the commonapp!! Haha!! :D

Raith - Yes indeed. I actually love talking to you people. Oh im gonna miss CC :(

Sunny you need to get an fb account :p

But on a more serious note, (regarding your rec) have you sent your mid year report yet ?
If you havent i believe your counsellor can write a new rec stating that even though he doesnt know you well, he has heard praise about you from teachers or that other teachers regard you as a good student.

Who knows that might workk worth a shot.

@Rishav
The ones with rum, cognac or some liqueur are the best! as long as they don’t over power the chocolate - only compliment it.

@Blue
I was only lucky that my counsellor is also my french teacher :)

@Sunny
Its a pleasure, best of luck! :)

@sunny - Yes they do!! I can’t remember the particular name though!! You can google liquor filled chocolates though!! :D

Anyway, I’m gonna call it a day now & go get some sleep!! The last thing I want is to be groggy before an Interview!! Haha!!

Rishav - Its okay. I am sure your 95 wont be that bad
Besides marks dont matter, entrances do.

My story is pretty much the same. I taught my teachers and my counsellors. Had to submit formal applications just to get the teacher’s emails and process going. Some stuff man.

P.S. Posting from a mobile is excruciating.

Good luck for tomorrow’s interview Rishav Remember to have fun :P

Rishav - All the best for your interview. (Princeton im guessing?) If its any consolation, I stayed up till 4 before mine, thanks to my puppy :p

@rishav
Kind of Maths fanatic?Haha, me too! If I don’t get my A in Maths I don’t know what to do then my life is over :D

You choose the right way to show them everything! :D

Good to see this thread so juicy after many days. I came along after a few stressful hours–practiced for JEE with mindblowing(:p) concentration after many weeks:D

Good night everyone:)

GOOD LUCK rishav!! Kill that interviewer if he says something bad!!:p

Hey if someone can change the title of this thread, change it to “Dartmouth International Applicants’ Emoticons Thread 2017”!:D:p:)

Night those of you going to bed :)

Raith - Lucky really. Did your counsellor know about the process?
Mine didnt even know what Dartmouth is :S :p

@hopingforbetter - I see we’re passing on some really smart advice :p

@guyinblue
Yea, I sent it via mail because my counselor was not able to upload it.
No, I don’t need it

@Raith
my counsellor is my French teacher too, didn’t help

@rishav
I only know the rum balls. Just googled liquor filled chocolates, they look yummy
Good luck with your interview! :)

Sunny - Well, just keep your fingers crossed then.
:)

Has anyone here made any plans for grad school? (Im getting ahead of myself here) xD

@guyinblue
Only that I might want to go to grad school, but I don’t know. Do you already know to which one you apply? :D

My counsellor is very familiar with the process :P

@Blue
I’m definitely up for Grad school, maybe in Europe, but we will see
You?

@Sunny
Our French class is about 6 people and I think she only teaches about 80 students each year (maybe even less). We are relatively new, but most of us were interviewed before going into A Levels.

Haha. Well, I dont know which one ill apply to, a lot of things that happen in the next 4-5 years will decide that. But yes, ill be studying in the States. I have as much as accepted the fact that im getting rejections in April and have vowed that ’ i shall return sooner or later ’ :p

Awkward silence
