Not true.

The recruited athlete and any one else admitted ED will have to send in their SAT II scores (all testing must be completed by January). The SAT II scores are used for placement purposes.

Well, they do need to send in SAT II scores, but really, does it matter after you get in? That's the hardest part of college. It seems kind of unfair how recruited athletes are given so much more advantage though. There are so many people who deserve the spot, but so many are rejected.

Hi!
I am from India and just got into Dartmouth under the ED plan. Could anyone tell me if I will still have to send my Pre- Board results?

Pre- Boards are exams that are held by the Indian curriculum before the Final national level exams. Indian schools follow an April- March curriculum.

HEY! are you the one from DPS rkp? :)
I guess you should email them to ask if they need the mid year and final report from you.

I sympathize with feelings about recruited athletes in general, but I must say that the recruited athletes from our area at D that I know, or know about, also have had excellent stats. One--an extreme example, admittedly--was a Presidential Scholar nominee.

DartGirl, it would be interesting if you would post a profile. There are so many international applicants begging for advice, and few successful ones who could give some idea of what kind of international applicant actually gets in.

@ spideyunlimited.
Yes, I am from DPS, RKP.

deferred

SAT: 700 CR, 690 M, 800 W
ACT: 33
SATII: 690 Math I, 730 US History, 740 French
GPA: 4.3
Top 5% of Class of 58

i want to get in SO BAD. chances of getting in RD once deferred are quite slim though, aren't they?

Deferreddddddd

SAT: 730 CR 720 M 750 W
ACT: 34
Sat II: 770 Lit 760 USH 710 Math IIC
GPA: Weirdly scaled, but the equivalent of about a 3.95 W/4.0
Top 10%/Class of 380

Dartmouth hates deferreeeees. Woooooo! I'm writing my letter anyway but I'm not even sure if it's my first choice anymore. But I'm going to get rejected anyway.

what letter exactly??
And is it true that very few deferred candidates are admitted RD?

Spidey,

Only 5-10% of deferred students are ordinarily accepted.

Goodbye Dartmouth, I guess. Lol.

yeahhh what letter exactly??
