Does anyone know where we can find Dartmouth notecards or stationery? We have looked at Dartmouth Co-ops catalogue and didn't see it. Does the actual store carry it? If so we will call and order. Thanks!

Yeah, they have Cards that have Pictures of Dartmouth on them- they're hecka expensive though- the particular cards I'm thinking of. Other than that- I'm not sure there are cards with like- the Dartmouth Shield on it or anything...

There will be a larger variety of stationery and other stuff at the physical Co-op store in Hanover.

lol "shopping in Dartmouth"...my interviewer was like "The Gap. And that's it. Get ready to order your clothes off-line."

hanover is trying to get a jcrew. or so i hear.

hahaha, that's what my interviewer said too! (about the gap). that's not a big deal for me tho 'coz i don't have money anyway. in fact, it could be a plus because the socioeconomic differences won't b that noticeable if everyone's wearing clothes from the same (not too expensive) store.

Nah... people still order online and bring stuff from home

PS- This is my 300th post- I wanted it to be on the Dartmouth board. Hooray, full membership...

Raspberry,

Congrats on becoming a full member. Yes there is a lot of on line shopping going on in addition to bidding on e-bay (I am afraid to see what I will have to bring back at the end of the school year). Shipments to Hanover are tax free, daughter takes advantage of anyone who is having free shipping, in addition she says there is some sight that you can get discount coupons (she's a shopper but takes pride in the fact that she is fiscally conservative -not cheap). She manages to maintain herself ( reason for workstudy) so it's all good.

Wow, you guys really thought of everything when it came to asking your interviewers questions!

Haha nah, she kinda brought it up herself when I asked what she liked most and least about Dartmouth. She had to think for a reallllllllly long time before she could come up with a "least", and finally reluctantly said "I guess...it's not so much dislike, but just the lack of the urban environment. Then again, I think that's more a pro than a con, esp. since I have my whole life to live in the city. But as far as shops...there's just the Gap. Everyone mostly orders things offline." She was great, just graduated in 04 too
