Dartmouth, Tufts, Conn, Williams, U Chicago

Thanks for your comments guys.
TeaOverCoffee:The paper will be published in the uk's Journal of Physiology.
I don't think I am good enough of a swimmer to be recruited.

omg: it deals with ATP hydrolysis potential in ischemic hearts.

oldfort: I have been considering Tufts ED. I love the school, but at the same time I want to keep my (few) options open. possibly.

simpson: I rechecked my score, and I guess I actually remembered wrong. My composite is 730 CR, 690 M, and 630 W, which adds up to 2050. Thanks for the correction!

also, could I be chanced for a few more schools? Thanks

Carleton
Northwestern
Duke
Boston College
Connecticut College
Swarthmore

Is it a prominent UK journal? It also depends on what you researched and discovered. I would say it could make a difference.

I know that I am in the same grade as you, so don't take my opinion too seriously. But I thought I would help you out anyway :)

Yale, Dartmouth, Northwestern, Duke, Swarthmore - very high reach (would consider applying to only 1 of these)

Williams, BC, Haverford- reach (consider applying to 2-3 of these)

Tufts, Colgate- match/low reach (esp b/c of legacy @ tufts)

and I don't know enough about Connecticut College and Carleton, but i can tell you that you should consider adding more safeties.

good luck with your college apps
Also, can u guys chance me:

You stand pretty good shots at BC and Connecticut, although Duke and Northwestern are probably larger reaches.

Williams and Haverford could be harder to get into than NW, Duke, Dartmouth or Swarthmore sometimes - Haverford for its size, and Williams because of its LAC ranking.

Yale, Dartmouth- very high reach

Williams, Haverford, Swarthmore, Duke, Northwestern - reach

BC, Tufts, Colgate, Carleton- match/low reach

Connecticut College-match/safe

What's your class rank?

I think top 10%. thanks for the chances!

would being able to do surgery on mice count as a hook?....

bump please.

bump .

retake the SAT

You definitely need some more realistic options. Between your GPA, SAT, and ACT you're not statistically qualified enough to just apply to these schools. Honestly, except for Colgate, I think you're looking at high matches and reaches with all of these schools. Maybe consider keeping Haverford and one other school (maybe Dartmouth or Williams will like that you're a swimmer?) and find some less unpredictable schools.

oh yes, well i definitely have safeties that i like in mind as well.
