Da’Shawn Hand rated the # 1 high school player in the country committed to Alabama. He is a defensive end from Woodbridge, VA. Michigan thought they had him sewn up, but the campus’ gameday atmosphere swayed him bigtime to 'Bama. RTR

It has also been reported (al dot com) that Dean Charles Karr of the engineering school had a big influence on the recruiting of Da’Shawn Hand. Da’Shawn is going to major in civil engineering and he said he really hit it off with Dean Karr.

I know the dean is great recruiter - he was the main speaker at the Chicago recruiting event a couple years ago that got DD interested in Bama. She is now a very happy student at The Capstone.

Dean Karr is very personable. He is an excellent recruiter.

Glad to hear that Da’Shawn has committed to Bama.

I saw that. But did you notice how many UMich whiners had misspellings in their posts? lol

The dean spoke in Northern VA–he is one heck of a recruiter and loves his BAMA.
