^^that scenario has only happened to me like twice though and one of the times i politely refused haha..generally guys are more subtle, i guess..but i don't really consider them to be asking me out on a date unless they do it like i described up there..

you refused him for his straightforward approach?

No movies. It's awkward if you haven't reached the stage where you're comfortable not talking with each other. Coffee's always a good choice, as are bookstores (big ones with squishy chairs, CDs, magazines, etc) where you can talk and walk around and get a feel for one another's tastes in things. Anywhere you can talk without it being awkward and without people you know bothering you is good.

^Do you live in Northern Virginia or Maryland? I would never think to take a girl to go see cherry blossoms. It all just seems too mundane. Maybe I'm just too boring...

I guess my family be representin da 540 (or whatever Fredericksburg is). I actually thought about going to college in Virginia, but decided not to. I might apply to pharmacy school there. My family laughed at me when we were driving somewhere and I saw a Dairy Queen and I was like "OMG PULL OVER NOW!" since there aren't any around here (there is one where I'm moving to and I plan on going there the first chance I get!! The food is nasty but it is so good since I never get to eat it. Same goes for Jack-in-the-box. I'm known to drive 3 hours to go get DQ. Going to Texas is a fattening trip because I have to have Jack in the Box and Dairy Queen.) But VA had some really awesome food and stuff to see. I actually shut down GW's plantation because I passed out (luckily I didn't end up falling down the stairs that where right there!) and they had to close it down for quite some time. It really was an awesome place to visit and I wish I could have stayed longer and went to the beach and all that stuff).

haha I joked about working there if I did bad in college. I totally don't want to go to work especially since I'll probably end up being in the 105 degree heat (with the heat index it's supposed to feel like 110) about half the time. Maybe I'll just take today off and go shopping or something.

I represent the 301 MoCo. Last time I went out with a girl at home it was Spring Break and we had dinner and walked around. I didn't realise it was going to be freezing with gusts of wind.

I represent the 405 MidOK (yeah I totally made that up and nobody says that) soon to be 580 West SIDE!! lol. Last time I went out with a girl at home it was.....oh wait......lol. I totally have a date for sometime this week (I still have to "figure out" what day I'm available--I'm thinking about cancelling because I'm so stressed about moving and all that crap) and he is hot and has killer abs! lol But he's a little on the short side and isn't really my type, but he is fun to be around. IDK

Is this strange? I feel like when I'm home I retain weight and when I'm at school I lose weight. I can't really explain why, unless binge drinking causes weight loss.

do you just sit on your butt when your home, but actually do stuff at school? (walking around campus, going to the gym occasionally, etc) That's usually what happens to me.

I've actually been going to the gym more often at home, but then again I guess I might actually walk more at school. I also seem to have more self control with food at school. At home I'm basically the one expected to eat food no one else wants.

it could be muscle weight, gotta polish those guns mate. i gain weight in school during high party and exam times and lose weight all other times. i actually lost weight during summer school even though i ordered take out most of the time since i cant go grocery shopping too often.

You might not realize exactly what you are eating at home. Your parent's cooking may actually be worse than you than the school food is or you may just be eating more since you don't get it that often. You probably also don't realize how much you actually are active at school.

You still have a few weeks/days left at home to try. You could probably loose the 5 pounds if you try.

So my neighbor is really depressed that I'm moving and wants to hang out sometime. I really don't have much time left (especially considering I'll be working extra long hours until Monday based on our present scheduling) and I really need to go shopping soon. I hate shopping with female friends because they always have to some of the same things I bought and they make comments about how much money I spend, which really, really bugs me. So I'm thinking about asking my neighbor if he'll go with me and then after that I'll buy him dinner or a movie or whatever he wants to do, but I don't know if I should. Do guys really hate shopping with us even if they say they will go?

Gah, sorry if I sound like a retard right now but I'm really tired after working a 10 hour shift (I normally do 5-6 hours) in the 104 degree weather.

what do you do? lifeguard? id personally love to go shopping with some female friends but if you ask him and pay for his dinner/movie it might seem like you have special interests in him. okgirl do you pay for your own shopping stuff? if yes you can tell them to bugga off, if not tell them dont be so jealous. cheers.
