Davidson/Wake/Elon/Furman?

I have been accepted at Davidson College, Wake Forest University, Elon University and Furman University. Which one would be best for my career, which is undecided? Also is one would incur a lot more debt than another, is it worth it? If anyone has any info on any of these colleges it would be appreciated.

Elon is the weakest of the 4 and Davidson the strongest. Furman and Wake are great schools so you really cant go wrong. Unless they are giving you a lot more money I would cross Elon of the list. Furman is one of those schools with very strong alumni networks that take care of their own, so that is something to consider.

I would think Davidson and WFU would have a more of a national alumni reach than the other two.

Perhaps-- but Furman is still a good ole boy network in many ways so depending on where you would like to work it can be a benefit.

Well, Davidson does have an impressive matriculation rate into the top grad schools. I believe over 90% of all applicants from Davidson to med schools get accepted, which is VERY impressive. These stats should hold true for other grad schools, such as law school, business school, etc.

As for debt, it is to my knowledge that Davidson is the only college among the four that has replaced loans with grants/work-study options. You will graduate debt-free, should you qualify for financial aid.
They are all fantastic schools, but I do believe Davidson would offer you more, in terms of career options after graduation and academics in general.
