I have been accepted at Davidson, Wake Forest, Furman, Elon, Wofford, any advice?

I responded to your other thread on this. Why are you creating a new one?

^^^ “I have been accepted at Davidson, Wake Forest, Furman, Elon, Wofford, any advice?”

Sounds like you’ve got the order just about right.

I agree with gadad.

Davidson is fairly small (< 2000 students) but has a good range of academic offerings. The town of Davidson is similarly small but quaint, and the much more bustling city of Charlotte is relatively close. The honor code is taken very seriously on campus, which means that exams can be taken whenever and wherever you want and that Davidson bicycles are left around campus for student use. The campus is extremely attractive, and the food court has pretty good food. While Davidson lacks Wake’s athletic prowess, it’s pretty good in basketball (as seen in the NCAA last year). You can even even go water skiing on Lake Norman! :)

Go to Davidson :)

Davidson is one of the best liberal arts college in the southeast (if not the nation), although Wake Forest is very tempting. Visit those two (if you haven’t already) and make a decision.

I would probably choose Davidson or Wake Forest as well, but Wofford is actually really good. My dad went to Wofford and had to transfer to USC because it was so difficult. You would definitely get a good education at Wofford.

However, I know that Wofford is a lesser known school, so Davidson would definitely serve you better in prestige.

Unless you are very interested in music, I would nix Elon. I’ve heard good things about it, but no one outside NC knows about it. And if you go to Furman, I can’t tell you how many “FU” jokes you would receive. Hahaha

chuc - which school did you decide on?

I hope you chose Davidson :)

I say Wake b/c it’s only 5 minutes from Hanes Mall, which is the largest mall in North Carolina!
