<p>Just wondering if anyone here is doing daytrading?</p>
<p>I've been trying out trading geared oil and S&P 500 futures with moderate success, but haven't really taken it to the "next" level (above $1000 stake). After two weeks I've gone from $1000 -> $1600 -> $1300 with very short-term positions (gearing 20-50x)</p>
<p>So does anyone have experiences to share with a newbie?</p>
<p>I started trading stocks right after the stock market crash of 2008.
I was a sophomore (high school) at the time, and I created an online account with a measly $100 (it was all I had in my wallet LOL!)</p>
<p>Now that I’m a senior, my account has around $2500 (not a typo).
Sure, I’m not making big bucks like the dudes who have had a lot of experience, but I like to think that I’ve been successful.</p>
<p>My advice: Diversify. Use penny stocks wisely!</p>

<p>Now, I have my college savings in a low-risk diversified account, but it’s a lot of fun to do some daytrading as well, with low stakes but exponential potential.</p>
