DBQ help please

Hey Guys,

I am doing a DBQ on the French and Indian war but I am really struggling to get started. Can anyone help me out or give my any helpfull websites?

Thanks a lot in advance

I'm not familiar with the DBQ style essay, but if you're trying to do research on the French and Indian War, you'll get some more results if you search "Seven Years War" (that's another name for the war)

What's the prompt?

The prompt is " How did the French-Indian war alter the political, ideological, and economical relations between the British and its American Colonies"

There was a line...1763 I believe that prevented the settlers from moving past the Apps. It made the colonists mad because they believed they participated in the French and Indian War to gain access to the Ohio River Valley. That is when the relationship between the British and colonists began to go downhill....(That's what I can come up with off the top of my head..)

omg dbq that brings me back. i so thought that was something specific to my school only, haha.

The question is pretty easy. WIth econ, F-IW catapulted revolution because the crown wanted the colonists to pay their fair share of the war expenses. Somewhat related to political, dissent against taxes, etc. For ideological, something similar. Just look at your textbook. They almost always spell this part out.

Ok,

-Someone already mentioned the Proclaimation Line of 1763 (no expansion west of the Applach. Mnts.- British say they can't protect the colonists that far out-forts were attacked/useless)
-Of course, British Debt=huge after F&I War. The British feel that they have the right to tax the colonists, because a majority of the money was spent defending the colonies.
-British are furious with the slow response they got from the colonists with regards to military and finacial aid during the War.
-England starts to govern the affairs of the colonies more closely. Prior to this, the British maintained "salutory neglect."
-British troops stationed in port cities
-French out of North America
-For the first time, colonists united against a common enemy.

Hope this helps, I had AP US history last year.

Thanks Guys!!!!!!!!!
