DD's best friend wants to transfer this spring --possibly even to UA: any advice?

Here’s the information regarding transfers

And for scholarships

If I were this young man, I would consider waiting to make the switch. Today, the classes seem easy. But he is a week or two into school. Things can change once the semester really kicks in. My son would admit that his first year at UA was not too taxing. Now, he is taking 400-level classes in one of his majors, and he really needs to spend a lot of time working on the material.

I would suggest that this young man go see an advisor about his major, what research opportunities are available and what other things on campus could interest him. I have friends who attended UNH and loved it. It’s a great school in a great location. Speaking with an advisor will give him a chance to express his concerns. There may be some wonderful opportunities at the school that he has no knowledge of.
