the honors program @ de anza doesn't really mean anythign at all..no transfer agreements, priority registrationm etc. my question was that what do you think looks better....say a 3.9 without any honors classes (or being in the program for that matter) or a 3,8 WITH honors classes?

Assuming this is a CC (sorry, not a CA resident) definetly go the honors route. I was faced with a similiar decision at my school, as being pre-med means numbers are extremely important. However, I'm glad I stuck with it, because it will seperate you from a lot of the applicants and show that you're taking a rigorous course load.

If you have some sort of transfer agreement though, where you need to meet a certain GPA, then you may decide against it. But in my opinion, the harder way is usually the better way.

Best of luck :)

dont be ridiculous. i'm the honors student co-ordinator, and there are plenty of advantages to the program. you just need to go talk to the honors co-ordinator and find out your options. if you want more information, PM me, and i'll tell you what's up.

HOnors will look great for grad school. do it.
