Deadline: Beginning of the day or end?

Hi, the Yale deadline is 12/31 Eastern Time...does that mean the deadline is the end of the 30th or the end of the 31st?

Thanks :)

end of the 31st, but of course, it's best to send it out early anyways

Why, nobody's in the admissions office until after break. They will have 1000s of applications to sift through. Better to make sure the app's perfect.

Just in case if their server should go down.

It's always smart to plan like the deadline is the day before, or a few days before. Don't leave everything till the last minute, especially if you are applying online.

oh so its not midnight of the 30th/31st?

Anytime on that day is fine as long as you have proof that you send out on 12/31 you are ok.

Send it in NOW, while the servers are still working smoothly. ;)

you have until Dec 31 23:59 to submit the application

End of the day...seriously last time I asked this question to 50 people (literally 50). 25 told me it was the day before, 25 told me it was the end of that day. Unless it gives you a specific time, it is by the END of that day I am sure. turns out those 25 people who SWORE it was midnight of the day BEFORE were wrong!

More importantly, why are you waiting until the last day? My friends and family gave me so much crap for waiting until TWO WEEKS before the due date...... It feels good to know that they are ALL DONE! sigh of relief
