When's the deadline date for submitting the statement of intent to attend? And I know the housing application is due May 1st (not post-marked but BY) but is the housing application sent online? Also, what is the non-refundable $30.00 Application fee ? is that for housing? And how do we send that in? Through the mail or through a credit card online?

Sry, since all these dates are not postmarked but should be BY...I'm panicking.

Someone help...

You can send the Housing application in online, and yes, the $30 is the application fee for housing. If you fill out your application online you can pay by credit card. You can also send your application through the mail and just send a check to pay for the fee. As for the SIR, I'm not sure when its due so I'll let someone else answer so that I don't give you the wrong info.

Both are due by May 1st.

Housing just sent out an email reminding me today to submit it.

Will we be guaranteed spots at UCLA as long as we SIR by May 1? One of my friends said that he had to SIR early to make sure he was guaranteed a spot at a different college, so I'm wondering if it's the same with LA.

lol...

of course you are guaranteed a spot..

LA does the housing in one foul swoop. You're guaranteed a spot as much as someone who applied at 4:59 PM on May 1st.

As already said it is NOT first-come first serve. Freshman names are put into a lottery and names picked first are given low numbers and may have a better chance of getting their preference of housing (you rank 1-3 on your app between; res halls, res plaza, res suites)

Preferential students (honors, alumni scholars, regents, athletes) are given a seperate pool and names are picked from it so they get lower lottery numbers and have a better chance of getting the housing they want.

Housing is guaranteed for three years. (but not the type etc - just that you can live on campus)
