When do we submit the Housing app?

what is the deadline?

(and this sounds stupid, but i really dont know the answer) do we submit housing apps before of after the SIR?

after SIR, I believe,...try posting this on the general UCLA forum

The deadline is May 1 as well

um... i did my housing application yesterday... but i havent sended the sir yet.... u better do it soon cuz u know what they say the sooner the better... and besides they might run out of the housing you wanted

I believe it's a lottery, so it doesn't matter when you send it in, as long as it's before the deadline.

they said at the welcome day that housing is not first come first serve. at least, not for freshmen

did u guys submit a picture with the housing application?

I tried to upload a picture, but it didn't work. Then I converted it to the specified file-type, (.gif, I think) and it still didn't work. I ended up just submitting the application without the picture. But I'm guessing I still need to submit it somehow this month.

do you pay for housing application?? I can't open the housing page.

any idea what the picture is for?

This is from "Ask Housing":

[quote]
In the event that there is a question regarding a resident's identity, the picture is an additional means of identification for use by the Housing and Residential Life staff. Submitting a picture is not required to complete the initial application and be eligible to be offered housing in the future, however, the picture must be received prior to your arrival. After the application is submitted, you may still send a picture to us through Ask Housing by attaching your picture to the case.

It stretches your photo out so I suggest uploading a photo that is 4.5 inches by 2.5 inches.

i heard that the picture was for orientation. my picture uploaded fine. but don't worry, its not for your permanent bruin card. if anything you'll never see it again.
