Hey guys,
Does anyone know the latest possible time that we can submit the Columbia transfer app online? It's due on 3/15 (this thursday) but I'm not sure if it's due exactly when it becomes 3/15 like midnight tonight on 3/14 or if I can still submit up till midnight on the day of 3/15. I called the admissions office and they didn't know.
thanks

YOu called the admissions office and THEY didn't know???????
LOL
so how are we suppose to know?
but i think it's okay if it's 3/15 11:59pm

Most likely until 11:59 on 3/15

11:59 eastern standard time? ;)

Why wait? (10 char)

^ because college students are procrastinators, and we don't submit our applications til the last minute ;)

It would be funny as hell if the servers went down at the last minute.

Yeah, why not just play it safe and submit it the day before, when there's no question.

^why don't we undergrads play it safe and study for exams ahead of time? EXACTLY

I just started to write, I MEAN

I am still writing my essays for Columbia and Stanford. I don't really think I have a shot which is why I focused on the 4 midterms I had in the last 3 days instead. I realize that if I don't think I have a shot I should have worked on the essays even more than other uni's, but I'm stuuuupid.

The good news is I have at LEAST 3 hours to work on the Stanford app cause of the time difference. Time-zone-five

uh, there might not be a 3 hour difference for stanford.

I'm applying to stanford and supposedly they're on eastern time. Then again, why am I telling you this lol, I don't want you to get in over me ;)

j/k Best of luck, and write those essays (as I should be doing)

I called them and they said pacific time.

I'm serious about my procrastination.

jacknjill, i agree, we have other things to do beside putting together application. Hope you did well on your mid terms, btw, which school do you go to?
I haven't slept more than 5hrs in the past 2 weeks =(.

Thanks for the good wishes. I go to Baruch College in NYC. My midterms were ok. It's tough juggling an internship, 5 classes, and all these applications, but I guess I could have done all of this during my winter break...oh well.

Where do you go to? How did your midterms go? I didn't sleep much till last night when I broke a 2-month record with 11 hours. I won't be sleeping tonight though. And St. Patties is up, and I have a national mun conference all of next week (along with more papers and midterms).

But hey, I have two legs.

I am goto a school in canada (Utoronto)
Midterms were alright. Yeah i won't be sleeping tonight either, need to pump out these applications.
good luck with MUN, conferences are always awesome :) FREE FOOD

jacknjill, you're going to NMUN? What country/committee?

I don't remember getting much free food at MUN conferences besides breakfast, at least when I went to AMUN in Chicago :(

I have a lot of friends at UToronto. I was actually considering Canada for college when I was in HS because everyone told me that it was great education for a fraction of the price of US colleges, but chose to stay in America for personal reasons.

I'll be representing Chile, IHP (International Hydrological Programme). I wish I were in another committee, but it somewhat intereseting. Will you be going too?

I remember getting free food in the unausa in HS, but there was a huuuge line and I just bought something somewhere else.

It is 4:26 AM in Texas. My essay approaches completion and I contemplate whether I should submit it now or wait for the opinions of others in the morning. Can someone answer this question for me?

No, unfortunately. But my school is going. My former partner is actually in the IHP too! She is representing Guatemala (I think... that or Russia). You should work with her :)

brand: Unless you know for sure that people will critique it for you in the morning, I would submit it now and get some sleep...
