<p>Considering school computers, libraries, parent's workplace and such, I don't think it's an excuse to have to extend deadlines. I'm sure GTown isn't as sympathetic on deadline issues on campus as they are when recruiting.</p>
<p>I would venture to say that perhaps they didn't get as many apps as projected so are afraid on ranking slide based on selectivity. Silly but possible.</p>
<p>It won't let me submit my app today(online). I keep getting an error message when I hit 'Submit." Then I have to restart the whole thing over again.</p>

I already did my essays from beforehand for GTown because I know they don't let you save thing on your application as you do it, but when I tried to submit the Personal Data Form and pay, it gives me an error message. This is really ticking me off because I can't fill out the rest of the app or submit my essays until they take my money. Why is their computer system so goddamn stupid? Please tell me I'm not the only person this is happening to. We can't even call to ask them since the admissions office is closed today. Is there anything we can do?</p>
<p>I'm in the same situation. Has anyone tried continuing with all the required fields that it asks for and just filling those out and submitting the application? Will that mean that the applicaton will just have the required fields and lose all the extra information on the app (like extracurriculars). </p>
<p>^^The whole point of the Personal Data form was to open up an app file so that anything you sent to them or submitted after that would have a file to go into. Maybe you are submitting your Personal Data form too late? I have absolutely nothing to back this up. But it could make sense that while they are extending the deadline for the application submission, they needed an open file for you at least a couple of days ago. As it is, you will have a file both opened and an application submitted in the same 24 hours. Who knows.</p>

<p>The same thing happened last year or the year before, can't remember which, where the company they use to process the online applications has issues. I'm sure it'll get resolved once all the relevant offices re-open tomorrow.</p>
<p>I love being the bearer of good news. I believe it was a server problem before. I let it rest and went back to it 5 min ago and clicked submit, and guess what-- IT WENT THROUGH. It must have just been a temporary issue. You guys should attempt to re-submit now and hopefully it'll work, as it did with me.</p>
<p>I still haven't received my GTown ID in an email validating that I paid, which I definitely did since they gave me a tracking number. This is not good; I need the GTown ID to do the application.</p>
<p>sorry, kawlaplease, i'm not sure how to help you. but if you call them tomorrow morning they will get your ID in time for you to submit. </p>
<p>so i was able to submit my Part II successfully and I thought I'd share my process with all of you that might still be having problems. (although i think they basically fixed the site while i was doing it so you might not have a problem). </p>
<p>if after you've finished everything you get a window saying that you haven't filled out so-and-so "required fields," you should say "go back" and then "postpone data validation" and then "previous page" to look at the other pages of your application. for me, a lot fo the data was lost. so then i would go back and refill some of the areas and go "next page" and "previous page" to make sure the forms retain the information. until it finally retained everything that i filled out (and this took a long time), i proceeded all the way to the last page, filled out my essays, and submitted. </p>
<p>i got a screen that said "thank you, your application has been submitted!"</p>

<p>I just "submitted" my app. I'm not sure if it went through though. I haven't received an email about it yet.</p>
<p>It was weird. I filled in EVERY part of the application, but when I hit submit, they told me to refill the necessary "missing" information (like all 3 essays and personal address, Georgetown ID, DOB). So now I'm worried that something went wrong with the system.. :(</p>
