<p>anybody who waits until then would probably be dissatisfied when they get rejected. the increasing competitive nature of college admissions means the classes will continue to fill up sooner than before. I'd be surprised if many heard back with an acceptance if they applied much late than April 1. even then, wow. they post the priority deadline and if you don't want to get it in by then it seems to show that you didn't get in where you want and are using Clemson as a "safety" or you really aren't responsible enough to go to college if you're waiting until the last minute. either way: apply on 5/ and you're likely rejected.</p>

<p>may 1 is the deadline to accept your spot, if you were accepted to Clemson -- may 1 is the US standard for admissions decisions to be accepted or declined by the applicant</p>
