Deadline

If the school isn't rolling admission does the date you submit your application affect your chances?

In other words if I submit my applications after christmas as opposed to now will my chances be affected or do they review each application around the same time regardless?

its the same regardless

I don’t agree. All schools, whether using the EA, ED or RD…or rolling admissions, fill up their class slots as the year progresses. It depends entirely on the school, and their expected yield, how big they are, how many they normally admit versus how many applications they receive. But generally speaking (there are some cases where ED applications are tougher to gain entry than RD because they can be more selective early, but not all ED schools are like that) the earlier you apply, the more positions are still open and your chances improve.

If you wait until later, and fewer slots are open, but there are lots of applicants, they can be highly selective.

If its rolling admissions, some schools take very late applications, but these late deadline schools tend to be less selective, if that matters to you.

What purpose would you have in delaying a rolling admissions application? Wanting to improve your gpa and SAT scores perhaps? (rational and admirable). Otherwise, submit the application and get on with it.
