<p>Does it matter when you send in your applications by?</p>

<p>If someone sends their application really early, and another person sends it the day before the deadline, will there be any advantages for the earlier app?</p>

<p>Or do they start looking at the applications once the deadline has passed?</p>

<p>Only if the school has rolling admissions. Otherwise, it doesn’t matter. There was actually a New York Times article a little while ago about some kid who submitted his Common App the first night it went live. But the college won’t actually look at it until after the deadline.</p>
