Look up “Tulane University Admission” on Facebook.

Also, on Facebook, the admissions department said “Yes, those who do not receive the DHS will get letters notifying them as such.”

Thanks for the heads up.

Good luck to all who will be waiting by their mailboxes the next couple of days.

How about those students who were deferred from EA but also applied for the DHS? Is it possible to be awarded the DHS before being officially admitted? I appreciate any help here.

good luck to everyone!!

cats19 - Yes, it is possible I suppose although seemingly there would be a reason you were deferred. For most reasons I can think of, it would make your chances fairly small. But perhaps there are scenarios I am overlooking. Not trying to be overly negative, but you asked and I thought you deserved an honest answer.

Any doorbells ringing yet?

Not in Virginia…our UPS comes after 6pm…long wait for us!

These are express packages. Don’t they come earlier?

We live out in the country…I think our mail person even saves our mail until she has a good reason to venture out :)

IIRC there was a way to go onto the UPS site and put in your zipcode and Tulane’s zipcode and see if there are express packages scheduled for delivery. Don’t shoot the messenger because I don’t recall if that worked or not. But I recall there being a discussion about it last year.

UPS’s website mentions 10:30 or noontime delivery times for express packages. Not sure if that represents a guarantee.

D thinks she is a long shot. We are really happy with the Presidential scholarship and honors already offered. If the UPS makes it down our drive we will be very pleasantly surprised and honored!

Well good luck! I cant recall if it came 2nd day air or 2nd day air saver. But here are the commitment delivery times [UPS: U.S. Shipping Services](http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/shipping/time/service/index.html?WT.svl=SubNav)

Well maplevale, by definition everyone is a long shot for the DHS, although some longer than others for sure. As you say, it would be a bonus at this point since Tulane has already been fairly generous. Good luck!

anxiously checking main for the next two days
Good luck everyone!

So anxious! Does anybody know what type of shipping they use (2nd day air, 3 day, etc.)?

In 2010 it was Next Day Air. I have a pic of my daughter’s package.

Nothing today in New York either. So anxious!

It was actually Next Day Air Saver which has a later delivery time than just Next Day Air.

Gahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I hope I get it.

St. Louis.
