<p>So this IS the first year a student had to apply early! I am sure that it has made a difference. I have been looking at the old posts and it does seem in past years that there has been more activity. Really hoping not to see an envelope yet - hoping for the Hainkel!</p>

In the past there has been a slight delay in the Hainkel notifications based on what I have gleaned from CC. I called admissions Wednesday and they indicated it would be a week or two later. Do you know of someone that has already heard? Thanks!</p>

<p>Congrats ishkaan. Did you follow up with Tulane as we discussed when they deferred you? Or did they just change their minds and decide to take you anyway? It is also possible they saw your posting on the other thread and figured out who you were, which with your stats and since you gave a general location wouldn’t be too hard. I know some of the admissions people follow what goes on here. Whatever the reason, great news! I guess that definitely makes Tulane affordable, eh?</p>
<p>@BungaloDillon Yes I did get deferred early action but soon after Christmas break it showed that I was accepted (I now know it was probably because they were considering me for the scholarship)</p>

<p>I just received my Dean’s Honor Scholarship package! I don’t know how long it took to ship, but I like the leather folder and the paper inside… Thank you, Tulane. :)</p>
<p>Still at the office, but just called home to check in and was told there was an oversized UPS envelope awaiting son from Tulane. He is unaware the DHS notices went out this week, so it will be fun to watch him open it.</p>
