Hey guys! I recently received my acceptance letter for the Dean's Scholars Honors Program and wanted to see if there was anyone else out there who had as well. I'm somewhat new to this forum (at least in posting), so anyone wants me to post stats or whatnot just let me know. Looking forward to hearing from fellow students!

Post your stats please? :D

me too
hi!

I got my acceptance to both Dean's Scholar and Engineering Honors the other day, so I am quite excited. I was under the impression that I wouldn't be getting information back about either until March, so it's taking a lot of stress off college decisions. Does anyone have first-hand information on how the Dean's Scholar program compares to a (far more expensive -.-) education at, say, MIT or CalTech?

And for people interested in stats, I am 36 ACT, 2,290 SAT, 800 Math II, Biology M, and Physics. Rank 2 of 600+ and National AP Scholar.

This is interesting. Dean's Scholars Honors only accepts about 50 students each year, so based on these numbers, the majority of the decisions have been made.

miller you can apply to two completely different honors programs? i thought it depended on your major...

I am double majoring; one in engineering and one in natural science.

Oh I see. Seems hard...good luck!

MillerCW, when did you send in your application for the Dean's Honors? I sent mine in about mid November, and still haven't gotten a letter back, so I am curious about the time it takes the admissions office to review and decide upon an applicant's admission.
