Dean's scholars transfer from cc

<p>I know dean's scholars is tough to get into but what about for community college students transferring to ut austin??? My high school rank sucked (i was at the 50th percentile) and my SAT score isn't too good either...assuming my stats when applying are:</p>

<p>4.0 cc gpa
30+ hours (a LOT of science courses)
1990 on the SAT</p>

<p>are my chances slim to none? I know my stats are dismal so should i not even try to get in?</p>

<p>Yes your chances are slim to none. The non-freshmen they accept into the program typically have involved themselves in academic research, which you probably haven’t had an opportunity to delve into.
But why leave the question of “What if?” Apply anyway if you think it’s important to you.</p>
