Deapul university

I am applying to Depaul and hopefully will be visitng it in February but I was just wondering to see how it's like. DO all freshman dorms have kitchens? Is it it easy to get around the city? How cold does Chicago usually get in the winter? Classes, pofessors, Id like to know all! :]

Dorms have a varying degree of kitchens but every student in housing will have access to them. If you like to cook try one of the apartments, centennial and sheffield square are extremely nice. But on the dorm side Clifton fullerton hall has two kitchens on each floor, and they are nice ones at that. It is a soooo easy to get around the city. DePaul provides you with a U-pass that covers transit costs for the L, buses, and Pace systems. It will take just a while to get used to but soon enough you will master it. It is also really easy to get out of the city if you need some space or fresh air. Several transportation companies offer very cheap ways out of chicago. Megabus for example offers tickets out of chicago for as low as 1 dollar. Also the pace and metra systems make it easy to access the suburbs. Chicago gets cold during the winter, but not too bad. The city itself gets much less snow that the suburbs surrounding it and if you live on campus the amount of walking you will have too do is small, meaning a pretty low exposure to the cold. Most of my professor are wonderful, honestly. There is an upper crust of profs though who simply wow me at time. Ask around or us ratemyprofessor to help you find the best ones.
