Here's an article about it. You can click on the card to enlarge.

I wish the article explained what the "star" code is. Does anyone know?

Texas, we've discussed that here before and no one seems to know what star means.

heh,

under "Not competitive"
___AVERAGE

hmmm, if the E3 has the college board scores, how do nov. scores get on there in time for the committee? How would they be able to re-calculate the index that quickly, print it out, and then recopy the comments? I don't think nov. scores get on there in time. :(

Hey, are u guys sending in a research abstract? Also, do you know if they will even look at art portfolios and music supplements?

I wish they still showed you your E3 card... it'd be interesting to see how your application was viewed.

"Also, do you know if they will even look at art portfolios and music supplements?"

yes, I know for a fact they look at art portfolios - they just send them straight to their arts department (YES, MIT does have an arts department). I would imagine music is the same way.

Hmmm....I wonder how many items got checked off on the "Competitve" section of my EC card....

I wonder if they checked "average" or "undistinguished" on my card.... :(

lol, it'd be fun to get into the school and then see "undistinguished" all over your E3 card

undistinguished/average == not competitive checkbox == your app wouldn't be read == you don't get in. so luckily, that wouldn't happen :)

Do you think they've started making decisions yet? Probably, since the 15th is in less than 2 weeks. AHH!

Actually... SOME of us cough know for a FACT that the admissions officers have been reading our applications already...

Glad I don't know though, I've be REALLY unnerved.

.....................
What are you talking about??? Fill me in!

Nobody knows anything. I think pebbles heard from someone who talked to their EC, who may have alluded to something.

Eeek. Any predictions for the date we'll get the letters? The 17th? 25th? :(

probably will be mailed the week of the 13th?

oh shush, LSA.

ANYWAYS...... :P

What creeps me out the most is that while I'm sitting here sweating it out they could have ALREADY put me in the "reject" pile :( And i'm just wasting my energy and worries...
