Do ED applicants recieve their decisions BY the 15 of December?

Last year my daughter received her letter on the 11th and financial letter about a week later.

We joke that she was accepted on the 11th but knew she was actually attending on the 18th (receipt of financial aid award)

I have to say she loves Vassar and is very very happy there.

Good luck.

Looks like they are mailing it out on December 14.

how do you know?

Yeah...How do you know?

on December 15th.

Vassar emailed me this:

"Thank you for your email. Decision letters for ED1 will go out at the end of next week. Applications should start receiving their letters by the week of 12/17. Best wishes from Vassar."

Grrrr...I don't know if I can wait much longer!! lol

I asked at the Admissions General Chat on December 6th...

They said they're mailing ED1 decisions out on the 14th

Tenk: DD was at a dance class during the admissions chat so she couldn't participate. Was there any good info discussed during it?

my friend who is also applying ED1 said that his brother didn't get his deferral letter until the 22nd...but he still got in regular :-D

If my son didn't hear until the 22nd, I would definitely have him call the Admissions Office. Many kids want to apply EDII, and have to get their forms signed by the Guidance Counselor and Winter Break is in there, too.

That is not fair, in my view.

that really sucks.

What if they don't want to answer the question with a definite date because Vassar really wants to surprise us with overnight mail on the 15th?

Oh how much I wish that were the case...

I applied Ed and am anxiously waiting for my letter. They just said the "middle of december" so can't that be like tomorrow, or in a week? bah. I like that they're sort of old fashioned and keeping the tradition of paper mail, but it would be nice if they just posted it online. My friend just got deferred from columbia...now, i'm nervous. because she's brilliant. alright. keep me posted if ANY of you guys get your letters. peace.

Wooohooo!

Letters go out today or the 22nd!

I heard from an inside source that decisions were mailed yesterday. And I am veeery happy =)

I emailed Vassar and asked.

Decisions were mailed yesterday (the 13th) and "should arrive next week."
