@lowGPAhighACT, i think that’s a better representation. is the math curve really that generous?

You guys should I be concerned if everyone I’ve talked to at the same test center got their ACT score and I didn’t? I’m in Michigan and no our test was not delayed so this makes no sense to me:(

@Megan262, i’m from Michigan too and don’t worry too much because they run them through “randomly” and you will get them eventually…hopefully by this friday
I havent gotten mine either and I really want to know :(

@Cadillac123 thanks that makes me feel better but tell me about it :-/ even though I know it won’t be updated I keep checking like crazy and it’s worse when you’re aiming for a high score. I really do not have the patience unfortunately.

@Megan262, haha yeah this score really means a lot to me and i need a good score. I hope you do well!

Congrats to all!

Took it cold turkey as a Junior.

Composite: 31
English: 32
Math: 33
Reading: 29
Science 28

I was hoping for 30+, so I’m happy. Just got to get 34+ this summer or fall and I’ll be happy.

How can I significantly improve my act score to a 32??? I took the test 3 times and got a lower score each time ( 27 26 25) I took it. I am really desperate and am taking the test in 1 month. Any study strategies and tips would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to put in the work.

Composite 35 for my son.

I got a 36 composite! So happy! This really makes up for the fact that I missed National Merit with a 221 PSAT score.

35’s in Math and Science

36’s in English and Reading

Weird… because I feel like I’m more of a STEM student.

Fingers crossed for writing scores!

@smodi2 feel free to private message me for advice. I got a 36 on all the sections and am more than willing to help anyone out.

What is considered a good writing score?
I got a 10 on the writing, will that be okay?

Also, could someone post tips for improving English, as that was my worst section BY FAR, and everyone said that was the easiest section on this test…

@XAQXAQ just do a ton of practice questions…there are seriously like 10 rules you have to learn.

Hey so quick question: I think I did really crappy on this essay but decent overall. If I get a 35 or 36 composite with an essay probably at 8 or below, does that throw up some red flags?

FYI - if anyone was waiting on writing scores to be posted, my daughter’s score was posted today.

I’m a High School Junior and my scores were composite:
26(December 2012) Writing:8
29(September 2013) Writing:7

33(December 2013)
E:33
M:33
R:29
S:36
Writing:9

So it’s nice to see some improvement, but still shooting for that 34+. I just have to read faster to improve that reading score.

Does the writing score even matter to colleges (IVY league or good public colleges), it’s not part of the composite and I don’t know if colleges really take the time to look at it?

Just got my writing score, a 10 which barely kept my composite at a 32. Good luck to everyone who still hasn’t received theirs yet!!

I got a 36 in english and it said (18,17) so the english curve is definitely -0 AND -1 for a 36.

My friend got (18,16) however, and ended with a 34 in english, so i’m not sure if its even possible to get a 35 on this act’s english section.

Please tell me if thats wrong!

My daughter got a 35 on the English section and the numbers underneath were 18,18. I was told that you can’t judge by those numbers.
