**OFFICIAL** October 27th ACT Discussion

Alright guys, didn't see one of these so I thought I'd start one. Let's go ahead and get this started.

Discuss tips, tricks, how to keep your cool, or anything else here. Maybe even goal scores and past scores?

I wanted a 34+ but got a 33.25 (of course) in the september ACT because of that darn science section:
35 English
36 Math
32 Reading
30 Science

Goal is to get 34+ tomorrow.

How are y'all doin? I'm going to do a quick practice test.

There was already a discussion thread going it just didn’t have “official” on it…

and it is best to have separate threads for English, Math, Reading, and Science.

Oh…AWKWARD…

no worries

Anyone else find everything to be the easiest possible thing in the world…LOL

i nailed everything but reading -___- i had to guess from 24+ </3

Math was hard!!!

Math was suprisingly hard–compared to my past tests (3) and multiple practice tests leading up to the exam.

English was easy as usual.

Reading and Science better than average.

Any predictions for grading scale??

My strength is math, so I’m hoping for a 36 on it (unless I made dumb mistake), but it definitely seemed much harder than usual. Science was at least doable by a human unlike the last ACT’s science section. Still, I felt rushed and didn’t have time to check several answers (which is weird because I finished with like 3 minutes remaining on my first 2 ACTs in the science section). English and reading were average.

I just really, really, really, really want a 33+ composite.

I have a few questions I was unsure about…

On the math section the question where there was a parrellelagram with sides a and c and an inscribed triangle marked b. and u had to say the area using a,b,c

The science section
-It asked if the three pollen trees accumulated for 100% of the pollen
-The question that asked about refractory period…was it the color with the highest threshold or lowest threshold?
-The very last question on science. What was the formula for the slope and they gave u the two sets of coordinates

Everything was good except for Math. The first 35 questions were some of the easiest Ive ever seen. The last 5 were confusing as ****

LOL really guys? O_o

my math has never been my strong suit at all and i didn’t have to guess until #50 O: everyone who took the test at my center said it was hard, too. I either did really good or just thought i did haha

^How many did you guess on?? Most people say they did bad if it was more than 2-3… Might just be different standards

@chrishuber if it’s the one im thinking of i got 21, not too sure if it was the same question.

the others im not really sure on

@Wcclirl444 i forgot i was on this site haha most people here are in the 92-99% so i guess my standards are lower haha but i guessed on around 8-10 (y) which is good for me

Area was just base x height…

@SpitPhire ya, most people on here would die if they had to guess on that many haha (like I did on the last ACT’s science section —.—)

wasnt it the area of the triangles though? O:

what did you get for the circle where they ran in the same direction and u needed time?

There is a thread specifically for math. If you have a math question, ask it there. This is for general discussion.
