^^ I second that, I probably only spent 1-2 minutes planning my essay. Really just enough time to create a thesis and the topics of each of your paragraphs. The prompt is always asking you to choose a side on some school related issue, so it shouldn’t require too much analysis like an English paper would. By cutting down the prewrite, you’re left with 5-7 minutes per paragraph, plenty of time to get your ideas down.

If anyone wants a different persons input, I wrote 4 paragraphs (2 bodies)

I wrote about about students teaching students, and one paragraph stated that teachers don’t understand students, I used some book to aid me, I don’t remember which, I also made up a quote

The other paragraph was how students are more comfortable with students, and I made up a personal experience

This awarded me with a 10

Ok that makes sense, I’ll be sure to add a paragraph abt the opposing view point when I take it in feb and trying to write a little quicker thank you all so much!

I also got an 18 16 and got a 34 in english

Is anyone still waiting for their scores? I’m still registered and am feeling a wave of anxiety yo

Still no scores here, but we have to wait for the mail.

No score here in Illinois, still registered. I’m hoping they’ll be up tomorrow at 7:00 AM.

I do believe the ACT uses monkey’s to come up with the writing scores.

scsiguru //u got ur composite score at least…

So if the score doesn’t come in exactly at 8 (like it didn’t when I checked just now) does that mean that it won’t come up today or should I wait till the afternoon?

I just got my scores and I tested internationally in London. I got a 35 which I’m more than happy with (36E, 34M, 33R, 36S).

Nothing today in Connecticut. Anyone else still waiting?

From California, absolutely nothing…

I called the ACT folks today and the woman told me that the grading was completely random and that they were “mid-way through”. Very frustrating. Hoping Friday will bring the scores for the rest of us.

Nothing here too… Tested in Tanzania.

Finally got my scores, this was my first test so I’m pretty psyched.
