December 2007 MATH level 2

The median question had a stem plot...I don't remember all the specific data >__>

it was that crazy graph. Was it 36.5? Am i just retarded and dont know how to cross of numbers? ***? Or maybe there was a 3 next to the numbers and not a 2........ wow lol
It was -1/7 because 1 slope was negative.
The trapezoid question, i think i did 1+2/2 times height, tho i forget....did we have to figure out height?

crap idk how to cross off answers!
i feel retarded

didnt the question ask to multiply all three slopes? thus making it positive 1/7? ayyyyyyy i dont know.

art_star, yes you are right. it is positive.

the median i'm pretty sure was 36.5. the two numbers in the middle were 36 and 37, so you had to average them

Anyone get x^2 + y^2 < 13 for something? Or uh...f(x)=some parabolic equation does not intersect the x-axis because it is above the axis and opens upward..

^ i skipped that and got the same for the second one

x^2...? I forget. But ya, the parabolic question was so easy......

Did any1 get 2.5 or time for that ball shooting upward question?

^ i got 1 second

I got 2.5 seconds. The equation was h= -16x^2+48x. At x=1, it reaches its max height at 32...

but it asked for the time AFTER it reached the max height

ha u guys figured out the equation? Overachievers. Graphed it. Nuff said

haha i didn't even have time to look at that question. BEAT THAT!

The equation was still on my calculator :d

thankfully I'm not the only one, I omitted like 15 questions. it was h-a-r-d and there was so much reading of the actual question.

i see one of my answers on my calc as (log8/log 2) -2
sound familiar?

yeah the questions were rly time consuming.

omg, I did so bad on this test today... I skipped 14. 14 out of 50!! And I know my math...I just completely forgot how to do all the f{g(x)} and log/ln stuff and ran out of time for everything else. Dumb dumb dumb...I should've studied beforehand. AP Calc. is so different from math 2 stuff... i thought I'd do a lot better. Then again, of the problems I actually did, I think I got all of them right. So hopefully the curve is very beneficial and I'll get close to a 700 anyway.

Speaking of f(g(x))...what was the answer to that? I put 2 cuz I didn't wanna bother with it >__>;;

i think the answer's 1. the max is reached when x = 1.5
when the ball is 20 feet in the air after the apex, x = 2.5

2.5 - 1.5 = 1

i graphed that function above and also y = 20 . so you subtract the apex time from the time when the ball is 20 feet high.
