Oh right, it was asking for the word for "shoe sole," which was totally random. The answer's "semelle" :S

man!!! i skipped it...I was gonna put sousterrain, because sous was under and terrain was terrain, but i skipped it.

What did you guys put for the question about the boy being out of breath because he just ran? Was it "ensouffler"? I was between that and "hors de lui" but both of those sound weird :S

OH and, what about the passage with the old man and the beach? For the one question about how often he would go to the beach, did you say all of the time or something?

For the guy being out of breath it's "essoufler"
And for the old man , we watched the sea all of the time , Right !
I'm 100 % sure of these !

^x2 i completely agree

Oh, yay.

Hmmm... let's see... what else was there? I got the "s'inscrire" one incorrect for the students question (I put "s'enregistrer" or something) :S

Any others, anyone?

yeah it was inscrire
i knew that because in spanish it is inscribir, and enregistrer was a false cognate

what did u get for the c'est un _________ reussit survivre

and it was like moral and something else, it was like 15 or 16...had to skip it :(

and can i ask u why did u take it again? since u told me u had an 800 in French w/ listening??

I did get an 800, if you're hinting towards that. See, before I had received my subject test scores, I thought I did badly in Chemistry and Math Level 2, so I signed up for two extra tests just in case. I had to retake Chemistry because my first grade wasn't so good but my Math Level 2 score was good, so I just decided to the French test so as not to waste money, I guess. I took it for fun and for a challenge and I think I got both of those :)

I also wanted to see if it were harder so I could give tips to other people taking the subject tests on which one to take. Listening is statistically easier, yes (an 800 is at the 89 percentile w/ Listening and 90 w/o), but the reading passages are equal-ish. The amount of vocab. that you need to know is still ridiculously broad, or, rather, broader for this test. So... It was an experience.

Anyway, for that one I thought it was "malheur" but now I think one of the choices was "mauvais," which seems like it would fit. I was just thinking about this question earlier...

Did you guys say that the people who went with the women to the gold refiner's shop were there to make sure they were heard? And what about what they (the officials) got in return for their duties?

soooo? I got 800!

^^^damn! good job man...i made a 730...i was extremely happy too :)
