DECEMBER 2008 SAT Subject Test: Math Level 2

This thread is for the purpose of discussing the December 2008 Math Subject II & to provide a consolidated thread for the answers/questions:

Some friends of mine taking internationally will be finished in an hour or two so I thought we could start getting this thread going.

(When consolidated lists are up, check the latest post instead of the thread because the thread cannot be edited!)

is the kaplan book a bad book to use cause i find it really easy

and

will conics and matrixes be on the test

What questions did everyone struggle on?

^ Pattyfatty, conics and matrixes will all be covered inthe DEC 2008 test....i assume you mean the SAT II test as a whole.
I guess we'll see soon! I'm in East Coast :D

Is the test they took the same as the one that we will take?

Just finished taking the test in the East Coast! it was medium-hard with some questions. I omitted around 7 :/

I don't remember any specific question, but I thought it was a pretty nice test.
Nothing weird...pretty straight-forward?

One probability question threw me off though...just realized I got it wrong :(

): HAHAHA i know what probability question you are talking about ;) -- not sure of the answer I put though :/

i left around 5 questions... it wasn't bad... :(

Heh yeah, that question ;)

I don't know, overall it was all right - the one I omitted I later realized was really easy, but with a decent curve I'll hopefully be able to pull off an 800. And as always, score choice. :P

I do wish I had been more conscientious about my practice tests...I should've built up my stamina, because this morning the test proctor made me leave my caffeine at the door and I wanted to fall asleep halfway through the test lol.

^ GJ 5 omit is good! it was the vector one wasn't it :P

^ hahaha blanche that's great. Yea, my ti-89 did all the work for me!

Yeah, I feel like Math II is almost a test of your familiarity with your calculator. Sadly I don't have a TI-89...it'd come so in handy for the BC test this May.

Anyway, good luck everyone!! Marking off the days until December 23...SAT scores, and more importantly, school ends! ;)

when should we be allowed to discuss specific questions?
that probability one was a killer, still not sure how you were supposed to do it...

I left 6 blank and guessed 2! ahhhh

This test didn't go so well for me...I left 16 blank. My last time taking this test, I got a 620. Is there any chance I might get above that on this test? Or should I just cancel the scores and move on?!

there may be hope if you didn't get ANY wrong.

OK...by hope what do you mean? Do you have a guess as to what my score might be if I didn't get any wrong? (I'm sure I did though)

There were around 3 probability questions :/

ugh, just got back and this test was killer for me. Not so much in what it covered, just in that I couldn't manage my time and so was rushing like crazy at the end... Omitted four or five I think? Guessed on a few... I'll be praying for a good score, so nervous!

Agreed, this was very different from November in terms of content...
