Discuss all Science questions here after the test tomorrow. Good luck! :)

Science was so much easier than I thought it’d be this time. I felt confident about all of my answers, and there weren’t any trick questions or anything this time.

What’d you guys think?

pretty sure i bombed this one.

I thought science was easier this time, I hope my score improves :)

^granted that everything that showed up today I was familiar with (or had studied before), so I didn’t have to waste time reading the introductions.

I ran out of time on the last five questions (and this material that I ran out of time on I actually KNEW how to do!) ARRRGGH!! It was incredibly frustrating.

You should have done the four studnets one first and the rest after. That took so much stress off me.

Does anyone know about that one regarding Mars, like whether Student 1’s opinion displayed erosion or metamorphesis or whatever

Metamorphosis was the correct answer since a rock was being transformed into a different rock because of heavy pressure or extreme heat.

I put erosion. And yeah I didn’t finish. Not by a LONG shot. So I guessed a lot . But I did get most of the ones I got to actually got to do right … I think. Is the Science factored as much as the other sections for the ACT? Or at least do you get an English, Reading, and math composite or Math and reading composite?

What about the question with the Violet color and orange color, I ended up putting the second answer, but dont remember what it was.

I put something like the blue is stronger at 670nm and orange and then yelllow is stronger at violet at 400 something nm.

^what i had.

^ do you remember what answer choice that was.

The whole violet/orange thing I didn’t even understand. Like, I didn’t know what I was being asked. (But, by this point of the test, I was just exasperated and grasping for stuff).

@MaydayParade, I think I got the same answer as you.

… I think I bombed this section. I couldn’t finish in time.
Completely lost it. Had to guess on a majority of these towards the end
Timing is my worst enemy -_- I did not like the sphere one with the coulombs and ahhhh!
The only section I kind of liked was the last one involving chemisty.

one of the answers I had was like , “The potential energy of the pole? increased because something is twisted.” Is that what you have ?

Well, since I was confident about my answers, I’ll list out whatever I can remember (NOTE: These may not be right answers, it’s just what I think, but I’m pretty sure most of them are right):

-Metamorphosis for the rock one
-Which things did not start at PT P for 35 sec? 3, 4 and 5
-What was the speed closests to? 4.0 m/s
-Pupa changed into adults
-Atoms of X was Iodine (I)
-Carboxylic acid with flourine atom would be even more acidic since the general trend was that the more electronegative the atoms are, the more acidic the molecule is
- 22%
- Gorrid eggs (or something like that?) were the ones who were females with unhatched eggs
-They kept the egg in the center
-Student 3 (I think? forgot the #'s) was the one who didn’t think metahne was produced from beneath surface
-Earthquake results in increase of methane release
-The graph for # 1 was the exponential + linear one - They would move toward each other because opposite charges attract
- All of the 3 balls were given the same initial charge
- Blue absorbaed more orange and yellow absorbaed more violet
-Potential energy increased since torque increased and work was done to it = conservation of energy
–The green was a mix of blue and yellow
-One of the things I think was one color didn’t absorb any light at 4 min
-He didn’t want to get the same frog again so he tagged them because doing so would skew the distribution toward that of that frog’s
-The hypothesis was supported because the max was at the mean and not the alternative

If I think of more, Ill post of them. Now DISCUSS!

Updated it again

@Joe, I’m pretty sure it was “D” for me
